EADS PKD-1 LPT Dongle
Hi guys!
Got EADS PKD-1 LPT Dongle. Who have appropriate expirience?
A few more questions:
1. How to plug it? I think that I leave the second end unconnected. Is it true?
2. Will it work in modern OS, like Win 7 x64?
3. Will it work with Programming Tools 2011/2012?

Re: EADS PKD-1 LPT Dongle
From the user manual:
DONGLE Hardlock installation
Install DONGLE harlock, manufactured by Nokia, to computer
parallel port LPT1 or LPT 2.
Hardlock does not need separate driver installation because the
Nokia ITSI Tool Basic installation program will install the driver during
Nokia ITSI Tool Basic installation.
Im find the information in the Nokia ITSI tool Basic User Guide.

Re: EADS PKD-1 LPT Dongle
I think this is a funny night...
You need the dongle for the installation and to use the softwares (read or write radio).
We have older version (XP) and later version softwares (Win 7), but no one of them are later than yours.
If you installing the Phoenix or the ITSI-tool, during the installation the dongle driver is istalled automatically.
You can yuse the good old blue LTP-port dongle.
Important: for the Phoenix and ITSI use two different computers.
(Have you ever tested Nokia phone ITSI-tool for radio programming ?)
Now we have THR-9 terminals and the pre 2012 softwares are fine.

Thanks for your answer. Small clarification. Shall I leave another (unused) end of dongle unconnected? If you remember, LPT dongle have 2 connectors (at the 2 sides of its body). And after that I must plug serial programming cable into serial port. Right?

Yes, I know it. I've worked with EADS USB dongles.

Okay. I got info about newer Airbus software. Totally new architecture, brand new interface and more complicated. More likely SEPURA SRM2. It does exist, but I think, doesn't work with LPT dongles anymore.

Could you please tell why? I've used them on the same PC before. With 2 different USB dongles IIRC. I've definitely programmed ISSI and radio settings from the same PC with no issues.

Yes!
