Default Reason for High Assign Fail Ratio in Hopping

    Hi Experts,

It is observed in a particular sector very high Assign fail ratio when hopping(GSM) is enabled. Checked Hardware and found ok. Even RACH is good. What could be the reason & solution.

Any help friends. Tried changing HSN still no improvement. On drive test could not infer anything in particular.

config is ok ? other cells with matching parameters and only different frequencies are working ok ? assuming you are not using interfered channels i would check trx swapping

normal working hopping will give you a little of increase in drop but not accessibility failure unless some configuration is wrong. ive never faced this in nokia or siemens or e******* (not sure in huawei where ive seen some strange config cases like synth hopping in only 1 trx enabled)

Hi, check if MAIO is properly configured. Are there different hopping lists configured for each sector? Is transmission TDM or IP? In case of TDM, perhaps the faulty TRX's could be mapped to faulty E1/T1

Thanks for the suggestions. Checked hardware,Medium(TDM) & MAIO and yes different frequencies for sector and found ok. Something else to be checked

    is this huaw vendor ?
can you check quality per TRX ?
beside that, what is the cause of the failure ? check counters for TCH assignment and SDCCH immediate assignment cause rejections
