    Default RRC directedsignalingconnectionre_establishment

    Dear all,

I am encountring a problem with tha analysis of a CSFB DT log file in which the UE is in mobility between 2 cells each on different RNC and the call is dropped with release cause : RRC directedsignalingconnectionre_establishment!

have anyone encountred the same scenario?
PS: the target cell is on monitored set

These are the messages before UE goes to idle with measurment reports that indicates that the UE is in cell edge coverage profile:

and here is the RRC release seconds after going idle:

No Iur between these two RNCs. this is 3GPP definitions for such a case.

If remember correctly it was specified in 25.420. Just check in google for 3gpp in case of SRNS relocation spec. If Iur doesnt exist or doesn't support any of ongoing services and relocation can not be performed then as last action DSCR takes place.

    Dear Alex,

Thank you for your reply, as I understood from SRNS relocation, it's a functionnality of combining/splitting User/Control Plane data between SRNC and DRNC while UE moving to DRNC, so if the SRNS facility is not suported by the network (as I saw in some parameters in SIB exchange that SRNS support : 0 (not supported)) could it be the reason of that kind of releases (directedsignallingre_estab) ? beacause if it is the case I can understand that the mobility between the two RNCs should support this feature? Also, is it mandatory to support SRNS or it's a feature activation/deactivation?
    Many thanks for your help
