    Default Cross Talk in GSM

    Hi Guys,

In our network there are some complaints about cross talk . Can it be due to the same BCCH and BSIC of near by sites.

    hello,
co-BCCH and BSIC will cause interference and then poor quality
The cross talk normally is happening when RX and TX will be sent on different channels on backbone ( normally TN)
    so here is some suggestion:
    1) send a drive test team to check where it happens ( it is in a specific BSC or MSC ...)
    2) it is during Mobile to mobile call or mobile to PSTN?

then ask the the operation ream to check TN configuration on BTS, A bis And A interfaces
if you are using any device like MGW or TN aggregator all need to be checked

long time back I faced this issue on that time there was E1s between 2 MSCs and for some links RX where connected to another port than the TX where connected and it was caused cross-talk

    cheers
