What is required to support SMSC in LTE EPC network?

Hi Experts,

We are designing pure 4G LTE EPC Data only network, (meaning no 3G/ SS7/Sigtran/Voice/VoLTE/IMS nodes in our present network architecture). But due to business requirement, we would like to have SMSC function to deliver SMS to our On-Net subscribers.

I would like to know in our present EPC only LTE network which functional nodes from IMS architecture would be minimum required for SMSC to work if we don't plan to build full fledged IMS yet?
