Question: LTE Active user and Latency
Hi Guys,
Need your expertise, what is the correlation of LTE active user and latency? We are having high latency (70 - 150ms) during peak periods. I'm using ping tool from google play and directly pinging the router (Ookla server) before going to the internet. I believe the LTE scheduling plays a part here since during peak period our simultaneous users reach around 50 -90. Thanks

Re: Question: LTE Active user and Latency
There's probably packets dropping somewhere. Number of users should not impact latency. Check SCTP retransmission counter if you suspect backhaul (S1) problem, check UGW, LAN switch, firewall interfaces for packet drops otherwise.

Have you verified through TWAMP?

Re: Question: LTE Active user and Latency
It depends on the Cell BW (10Mhz, 20Mhz, etc) and the scheduling algorithm.
