Default LTE PRB utilization and Random access success rate

    Dears,
in a LTE event site if PRB utilization is high should it affect Random Access success rate?
in my site, PRB increased gradually in a day, RASR decreased as a mirror image with it. But RRC success rate was good all the time. why RA was impacted any idea? connected UEs became almost 4/5 times than normal days. sr and cqi resources were increased before the crowd cam and there were no rejection on their part.

Can you shed some light on it please.

Lots of thoughts on massive events, dude. But let`s start with the easiest one:

High PRB utilization in a physicall layer perspective should not affect RA since it has "reserved" PRBs for it.

Uplink in general is the direction which suffers in Massive Events and tend to be the bottleneck in these situations. What you may be experiencing is high noise generated by UE simultaneous transmissions. If this is the case, ensure that your PRACH Config Index is adequate for both the amount of users/BW you system is holding, also ensure that all sites have the same PRACH Config Index, otherwise you may be making worse the PRACH Vs. PUSCH Vs. PUCCH timing transmissions.
