you need the software for that if you want to make internet connection with that the computer will reconnize the phone as modem and for file transfert you don't need anything

Download the PC Suite for your Sony E******* !!

Install the driver of Bluetooth for your laptop , turn it ON

Now connect your sony e******* phone with the help of bluetooth, you need to search for your device from laptop (using PC Suite). When asked for passcode, just type the same passcode in your laptop and in ur handset !!

You can select your passcode (for example 123)

Once connected, you can add your handset as a paired device for future automatic connection, when your mobile is connected, open the internet connection (again in PC Suite), configure it according to your SERVICE PROVIDE (Operator), you need to provide the APN (Access Point Name), every operator has its unique APN, the phone number should be *99#, press dial and it will connect u to internet (GPRS, EDGE)

Supposingly You are unable to connect through PC Suite then see this guide to create the manual dialup for your mobile, you just need to make sure that your mobile is connected through bluetooth in PC Suite.
