Default Wimax Private Network ...Minimum required

    Hi Everyone,

I hope my post find you all O.K,

I have a DBS3900 (with BBBI wimax card) and RRU3702 wimax outdoor unit,

    My question SIMPLY is:

Can i use those hardware (ONLY) to have two wimax to wifi routers to communicate with each other?
In other word, is this minimum hardware enough to have a minimum networking environment (ping between those 2 wimax to wifi routers) or do i need an other type of additional hardware? neglecting any software required for commissioning , authenticating or other types of software.

    Thank you in advance,

In dbs3900 you need at least 1 WASN to connect to BS. And also you need bypass AAA bye disabling security in BS side.

it is difficult and or expensive to use huawei device as Wimax LAN, because their solution is developed for general operators. i think you can use other solutions for your network.

    Dear Mr. Maysam,

    I've got a "Tellabs Smartcore 9160 4G Platform IPP 81.91L-IPP-01-R6" as a "WASN" from a partner's storage, they're planning to sell,

Can we say that i have the minimum needed HW now?

Regarding the Huawei BBU, i'm testing only for now, but what i have is this 3900BBU with BBBI Wimax card.

    hi,
if your WASN is compatible with your DBS3900, yes you have minimum HW requirement now.

They are compatible because both were in the same old network architecture, the smartcore9160 as an ASN (WiChorus ASN) and the DBS3900 (with BBBI wimax card) as a BSS,

I can reset the DBS3900, but the smartcore has nothing documentary to do so, and it has an old password protected since 2011, and need to reset.
This what i get when connected to it by console:

I did reset the Password, and now i'm logged in as root, but i think the IOS is not loaded, because i could not go to enable mode or change interfaces ips or show configurations,

Unfortunatly i dont know this WASN. but if you could config it and define the cells, You can easily connect your routers.
