HS Drop Increase after enabling High Speed Down link for FACH

Hi Experts,
We have observed considerable degradation in HS drop after High Speed Down link for FACH is enabled.

Please what could be the reason for this one and how to address this problem?

Did you see shift of traffic or reduction of attempts from HSDPA to FACH? Because if HSDPA is left with lesser attempts and low end user traffic has been shifted to FACH then HSDPA drop rate might have been increased.

Hi,

First of all check all parameters and setting related to this features activation as per instruction, Secondly please let me know you have this issue in cell level or after activation in large scale issue appeared every where ?


Record UEH and check on which state your drops are pegging due to which reason, Also check your HS formula .

Check with your E// contacts about a list of blacklisted TACs to handle some bad-behaving UEs. It is a key thing to be done in this early deployments of HS-FACH/RACH.
