IuPSRelNoRABTmr Timer Huawei
Dear Experts,
Does any one test the impact of reducing this Timer from 300s (recomanded) on KPIs and user experience.
any relation with PS Inactivity timer ?
Meaning: Timer for not releasing signaling over the Iu-PS interface when no PS RAB is set up. After this timer expires, the RNC sends a RANAP IU RELEASE REQUEST message to the CN.
GUI Value Range: 1~65535
Unit: s
Actual Value Range: 1~65535
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 300
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification : No (And no impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Network Performance: If the value of this parameter is too large, the radio resource usage increases.
BR,
Fahmi

I think it should not impact much. You can try decreasing it to 4 min (240s) and then see the impact. There might be increase in RRC attempts for registration, reduction in cell DCH users and SHO ratio.

Re: IuPSRelNoRABTmr Timer Huawei
Dear,
Decreasing the IuPSRelNoRABTmr from default value 300 s to lower than this value will reduce DL power unnecessarily reserved for signaling, so that HSDPA users can use it.
we already try to change this value 300s to 10s, we found that DCH user number decreased , PCH user number increased , HSDPA throughput increased and the non-HSPA power decreased but this changing not always impact to the KPI and Throughput improved, some RNC not impact much.
