Impact of Cell PCH disable at RNC

Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me the pro and cons of Cell PCH state disable at RNC?

My customer are complaining that there is PS slow start issue in their network, which is they did a speedtest where the data will only slowly speedup instead of sharp pickup. Wonder if this is one of the impact of cell PCH disable which takes longer from cell idle to cell dch transition.

Hi do u have end to end QoS in your network? meaning the same issue when using a streaming service

Youre already out of PCH by the time you are downloading so its not that. However i cant understand why PCH is disabled in the first place. Ping must be really slow too? You need more samples in a logfile. Is there an increase in R99 usage? Upgrades from R99 to HS? are other features like MBLB in use? lots of unknowns here..... but u need to see a logfile to see whats happening there...
