SDCCH Handover in LAC border

Hi guys,

I would like to have your opinion in about the SDCCH HO in a scenario of a LAC border. If you have a case of a cell in a LAC border, where around 60% of the RACH attempts are for Location Area Update do you recomend to have the SDCCH HO turned on?

What is your experience with the SDCCH HO feature in E*******? And how it works in a LAU scenario?

years ago I've been hunting why SDCCH handover stats were bad on LA border (inter-BSC, inter-MSC handover as well, it was before R4 architecture). I found out E/// does not start handover for LAU: of course, it would be silly to execute inter-MSC(VLR) handover while
performing LAU to another MSC/VLR.
