I got the same error, you should put the mbx with the same folder as your .tab file you try to open, please refer to my first post

to test the error:
try to open a .tab file from an other folder and then refresh the map with F12

You will notice the same error as Cepillo

I use MApinfo v12.0.3 and there is no error. of course different place of Tabs and mbx
