LTE - FDD and TDD HO

HI Expert,

Today something cross my mind, is it any network that LTE handover FDD to TDD or int he other way.
I have saw the bandwidth own by UK as well and feel it is very abnormal...

Hi,

yes there are some network, even in Europe where FDD-TDD Ho is used. However main use of LTE TDD is for data services only (ISP like services).

Also is there is any document for this FDD <-> TDD HOs.

I had discussion with operator people which is running such network. I am sorry, i cannot tell you more. One hand we did not talk much about TDD. On the other hand it is confidential (and i do not wish to loose my job).

I believe the general strategy is to push TDD capable UEs as much as possible onto TDD network, so that FDD could serve normal UEs easier. Obviously not a rocket science.

May i know which country or vendor have start this trial or already success?
