This is used for connecting to VPP-9x port in DX or IPA, ie port 11111 in OMU.
Basically any logical file can be connected to VPP-9x, I have used it for GSMME1PR and OBSFAILA reports.
If you connect logical files to telnet session there is need to press Enter to get printouts which is very annoying, especially if there are many sessions connected.
This is eliminated by using VPP. There is a limitation of one session per VPP though. First one to connect to port 11111 gets VPP-99, next one VPP-98 etc until VPP-95, which gives a maximum of 5 sessions.
As a remedy to this Vppreporter can function as a server and replicates everything it receives to its clients. This way it is enough if one client connects to VPP-99 and serves the rest of the clients.
It also functions as a poor man's Traffica, showing statistics about clearcodes in real time.
OBSFAILA actually shows clearcodes that are not seen in Traffica or ZTUT MML, for example failed handovers if call is not dropped.
It is a java application and needs Java JRE 6.0 or higher.
