    Question Differences: E*******/NSN/Huawei/ALU/ZTE/Samsung?

    Hi Expert Contributors,

Me seen many documents in this furom, question: since all equipment vendors and solutions providers follow standards set (e.g. 3GPP, etc), what are the differences in the capabilities of equipment and soln of these vendors - plmn registration, selection/reselection, call establishment, mobility management, etc.

Are these standard procedures common or the same for all of them? Any difference in GSM/UMTS/LTE other than value added features and capabilities or software or platforms used?

Me think experts from this forum can anwer reasonably well.

Advance 1,000,000 thanks to all contributors.

Yes, you have some standards, however you have many different releases and a lot of functions inside a standard are optional. Only a minor part is really "mandatory".

    Kind Regards

Me believe have to take this more simple. In terms of GSM/EDGE/GPRS/CDMA/EVDO/UMTS/HSPA/LTE, other than hardware/software/platforms/value-added features any diffrences among E//, Huawei, NSN, ALU, ZTE, Samsung, others in terms of:
    1) PLMN registration
    2) Selection/Reseletion
    3) Call Establishment
    4) Handover procedure
    5) Call termination
    6) Others

    Please advise expert contibutors.

    Million thanks.
