Default Question about - (Received total wideband power) (Mean Rx Power) (UL RSSI)

Hi; Can someone veryify the accuracy of this document i have created?

    Uplink Load or Uplink problem:

Huawei - Provides the average RTWP level for a cell in the measurement period. VS.MeanRTWP
E******* - UL RSSI Average dB This KPI represents the average of Received Total Wideband Power in the UpLink. UL_AVE_RSSI

RTWP – (Received total wideband power) (Mean Rx Power) (UL RSSI) –
    • RTWP - is the total level of UL noise within the UMTS frequency band of any cell. RTWP is related to uplink interference.
    • RTWP is an indicator of performance degradation including, CS Call drops, capacity management and congestion control in the Uplink.
    • In UMTS, the uplink interference may vary due to several factors, such as the number of users in the cell, the Service, Connection Types and Conditions of Radio, etc.. Some people have suggested a link to weather, seems like a stretch though.
    Min Rx Pwr (Minimum RTWP)
Larger than –100 dBm or smaller than –110 dBm in the idle hour for three consecutive days in one week, there are hardware faults or external interference. Locate and rectify the faults.
    Mean Rx Pwr (Mean RTWP)
    Used as cell capacity indicator.
    • -106 is Unloaded
    • -103 is 50% loaded
    • -100 is 75% loaded
    Used as cell error indicator
    • -112 Represents a sector that is not on the air
    • -104 Normal figure but this can very
    • -95 Trigger showing we have an issue
    • >-85 Trigger showing we have a Big issue

    Thank you

Hi Jason, Seems good to me. You can further add the relationship b/w high RTWP & user experience (in terms of UL speed, ping etc). When we fixed RTWP in our network it atleast did following:a) Increased user experienceb) Lower the power consumption by UE c) Increased 3G CS paging to about 2% (I still need an answer how it can affect CS paging). d) PS-RAB slightly improved under areas which were already degraded in RAB.
