Default Huawei - locking TRX GSM

    Hello,

I need to lock TRX in Huawei GSM, and I see two commands
    a. DEA TRX
    b. SET GTRXADMSTAT: IDTYPE=BYNAME, TRXNAME="Guam", ADMSTAT=Lock;

What is the difference between the 2 commands?
Also - which one of the will be soft power off - meaning no dropped calls from the TRX.

    Dear Sdineszi,

    Hedex explanation on the SETGTRXADMSTAT:

Meaning: Administrative state of a TRX. When this parameter is set to Lock(Lock), a TRX is blocked. When this parameter is set to Shutdown(Shutdown), a TRX is shut down. When this parameter is set to Unlock(Unlock), a TRX is available.
    For CS services:

When this parameter is set to Lock(Lock), a forced handover is triggered to hand the ongoing services on a TRX over to another TRX. The services will be interrupted if the handover fails.

When this parameter is set to Shutdown(Shutdown), the ongoing services on a TRX are not affected but new services are not allowed to access the TRX.

    For PS services:

When this parameter is set to Lock(Lock) or Shutdown(Shutdown), the BSC interrupts the ongoing services on the TRX.

    GUI Value Range: Lock(Lock), Unlock(Unlock), Shutdown(Shutdown)

    DEA TRX:
    Function
Use this command to deactivate a TRX.

    Note
    1. The BCCH TRX in a cell cannot be deactivated.

    2. After a TRX is deactivated, it becomes unavailable, thus causing call drops on the TRX.
