Solution required to define more than 16 FPDCH per cell in E******* system

Dear All, We re many cells where 16 FPDCH has been already defined, still facing the blocking hence ne to define more PDCH which as per my knowledge , not possible in E******* system. ODCH is not solving the purpose due to high voice utilization. Kindly suggest if it is possible to define more than 16 FPDCH per cell. I not, kindly suggest alternate solution. Thanks in advance.

Please specify about blocking what do you mean ? Do you mean TCH Congestion? or PDCH Allocation failure % ?

Hi,

It is impossible to define more than 16.If your network is this much congestion why do not you consider for TRU expansion on some sites?! Instead of defining more FPDCH which already is maximum. Change GPRSPRIO=1 and TBFDLLIM to higher value it will help to some extent .

Hi, you can ask to install RUS insted of DRU or RUG with related licence this will increase TCH availability accordingly more FPDCH can be defined..

with RUS, can we define more than 16 FPDCH? TCH are still available with RUG/DRU but unable to define more than 16. Is it possible with RUS?
