    Default Handover Delay

    Dears,

What could be the reason and of having noticable handover delay
    while
Neighbor cell RxLev is much better than serving cell by
RxLev difference greater than PBGT HO threshold and for time duration greater than watch/ valid time

What could be the Technical cause?

    Hi,

U need to check your layer and layerthr strategy. In GSM networks ad you may have 900Mhz and 1800Mhz in different layers due to balancing traffic between sub-bands generally they will be put in different layers to avoid overloading 900Mhz band! consider your 1800Mhz layer having higher priority in this case mostly during DT ur call will be dragged on 1800Mhz thus you will se this phenomena as delayed HO. selectively u need to decrease layerthr (Have no idea in Huaweii what is the exact parameter name)
