2G and RTWP issue

Yes, it does. RTWP issue can occur from external interference problem which effect to 2G and high RTWP can make uplink traffic move to 2G.

By definition, Received Transmit WIDEBAND Power (RTWP) is a metric used for 3G UMTS Wideband-CDMA (WCDMA). RTWP is an important metric for CDMA systems as frequency reuse of 1 is used and CDMA systems are sensitive to cell load (load capacity limited system). So high RTWP will mean high interference and limitation of capacity/throughput due to potential external interference.
By 2G, are you talking about GSM (not CDMA)? Are you asking if 3G UMTS RTWP issue is impacting 2G? Or are you asking if there is an equivalent metric to RTWP in 2G GSM?
