World elevation/grid maps for GlobalMaper or another tools

Hi all
in attached file you can find free world SRTM grids with 100m resolution.
Just download archives for region you need, extract them in folder and load it into Global mapper for example and enjoy real planning (you can use it in other tools that support SRTM or convert it for another tools).
I've tested and use this grids.

I cannot access to the ftp server, plse let us clear hu to make it easy to get those important elevation maps....thanksss

My favorite method to access FTP sites it to use intenet explorer, just copy the link and paste it on the navigation bar. it will take long time to connect and explorer will seem to hang for a while.. just be patient. then you will see a listing of files just as a directory, just do a select copy/paste to your favorite location as you would with any normal file. it is that easy. this method only works with Internet explorer , it will not work with firefox :-( .. but if you use windows you will not have to install any additional software.

Download online immagery Topo/Terrain/map
choose SRTM
choose the zone of interest
