Traffic Shifting 900 -> 1800 (Dual BCCH)
Hi,
What are the best effective possible ways to shift traffic with Huawei GBSS 14.0 system and Dual BCCH, Dual band network?
Any new features like forced handover etc or underlaid/overlaid?
Pls share the parameters and features/related documents.
Thanks!

you can set layer priority. smalllest number means higher priority
example 1800 layer 1 and GSM layer 900

Re: Traffic Shifting 900 -> 1800 (Dual BCCH)
Dear,
UL/OL doesn't work in the case of Dual BCCH.
For traffic shifting from 900 to 1800 we can do following things:
We can make 1800 as layer 2 whereas 900 as layer 3
We can increase CRO on 1800 in case PT=0
We can decrease inter-layer threshold of 900 cell
We can restrict edge HO thresholds on 1800.
Hope this help, in case of any confusion please feel free to contact.

Most effective parameters are
1- Change LAyer for GSM1800 to layer 2.
2- Put inter-layer HO threshold on GSM 1800 from 35-25 you will absorb most traffic by GSM1800.

As mentioned before, inter layer Ho threshold is the most important to shift traffic between 900 and 1800, but before doing that, you need to study the traffic in both bands and its distribution versus TA.
