Default signal strength & Bad quality ? "Urgent"

    Hi friends,

please does any one know how to define the criteria of Signal strenth in Ericssson ? ie : the value of signal used to increment the sts counter

The same quesion for the counter bad quality ?

And what are the default values ?

Thanx & REP to the answer

Won't you mean SS and BQ as BSC KPI counters? If so, there's no default values, these are counters for call drops because of low signal strength (in downlink or uplink) and bad quality, perhaps caused by an uplink interference.

    Regards.

Ok, these are parameters you can configure in BSC, and affects to KPI counters, not the behaviour of the BSC in radio terms.
BADQDL and BADQUL refer to the quality value when BSC must jump to another cell (handover) and it's measured in DTQU (deci-transformed quality units). There is some table around that shows the relationship between these values and BER. So, if there's a drop call and the value of quality at the drop moment is above that threshold, there will be an increment of one call dropped for BQ reason.
About LOWSSDL and LOWSSUL, they are the limits, in (-) dBm (104 equals to -104 dBm) of the signal strength received at the BTS antenna (for uplink) and MS antenna (for downlink). When a drop happens, there will be an increment in drop because of SS reason if the value of signal strenght is below the threshold at that moment.

    Regards,

    David
