LLC Low Throughput

Anyone has knowledge on how to optimize or what counters should I check to analyze LLC Low Throughput. I am using Huawei system.

Hello,

Have you checked the Flow control parameters?
It is the BSC that sets the flow control parameters for a session, so, if you have no bandwidth issues between SGSN and BSC, the troubleshooting should be done on BSC side.
On the SGSN you can check these parameters using DSP PTPBVC command.
Read the 3GPP TS 48.018 for details about Flow Control data. Search for MS Bucket Size and Bucket Leak rate.

So you mean it is in a bsc level? If only I have Llc low throughput in one cell and the others is okay.

the RLC throughput is low too for this cell??
check the MCS usage and the RLC blocks retransmission rate, if you don't have a problem there check if there's heavy CS traffic on the cell or the cell resources are not enough(the number of TRXs and the transmission link).

A search in Hedex will head you in the right direction.

I'm not familiar with Huawei,but generally low throughput comes from lack of PDH's in abis and air interface,so its better to check the assighed PDCH's to each user in a cell(4 pdch=232Kb),besides plase check the share of each MCS's in the kpi,if higher MCS's have little share so besides the avalable resource checking,notice to the C/I in that cells and also the default MSC after a tbf stablished

I have seen this happening because of incorrect configuration of QoS for the subscriber. Make sure that LLC is Unack mode and RLC is Ack mode.
