GSM Codecs

Dear All,

Please I want to know what is the impact of the voice quality if the call use differents codecs between BSC and Core Side?

1) the call can be established or not?
2) Codecs used in BSC is better than the codecs used in Core.
3) Codecs used in BSC is lower than the codecs used in Core.
