    WAP over TETRA Trial Services

Abstract—IP over TETRA is a solid and robust platform for
secure and reliable data communications in the field of
public safety and in for other PMR applications. In the
paper the basic concepts of WAP application over TETRA
network are presented. WAP over TETRA trial architecture
is shown and an example of Web application “Dangerous
goods” is demonstrated. TETRA enhanced data services
offered by TETRA Release 2 are discussed and an
introduction of the IP Multimedia Subsystem into the
TETRA environment is given at the end of the paper.

    Implementation of Multi-function
    TETRA Gateway

Abstract--The next generation power IT system will consist of
automated transmission and distribution systems that support
efficient and reliable supply and delivery of power. The goal is to
create a power IT system capable of handling emergency and
disaster situations, while also able to accommodate current and
future utility business environments, market requirements, and
customer needs. In this paper, we propose multi-function
TETRA Gateway (MFTG) that can convert various power IT
protocols into TETRA protocols to show that the next generation
electric power IT system can be constructed in TETRA radio
infrastructure. Our MFTG is a TETRA network equipment that
converts power IT protocols (for example, transformer load
monitoring protocol, RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) protocol for
monitoring power transmission steel tower wind direction/wind
velocity, DLMS, DNP, and IEC61850 etc...) into TETRA
protocols through short data, status messaging and packet data.

Impact of Voice Traffic on the Performance of Packet
    Data Transmission in TETRA Networks

Abstract—This paper studies the impact of voice traffic on
the performance of packet data (PD) transmission in terrestrial
trunked radio (TETRA) networks. Particular emphasis is given
on the performance of applications characterized by occasionally
transmitting small messages between a number of radio terminals
and a fixed server while these terminals are also conducting group
voice calls. Such applications are constantly increasing in TETRA
networks, and so does the need to dimension and configure these
networks to meet their reliability, delay, and loss requirements.
However, the impact of group voice calls on PD transmission
has not been sufficiently studied, and this constitutes the main
motivation of our performance analysis. We present simulation
results for a variety of practical scenarios, and we discuss how
key performance indicators such as PD delay and loss rate are
affected by the group call activity of the radio terminals. Our
results can help in dimensioning and planning TETRA networks,
particularly in determining the number of PD terminals that can
be supported in a cell for a given traffic profile and for quality-ofservice
    requirements.

Design of Transceiver for TETRA in UHF Band

Abstract : RE transceiver for TETRA mobile in 800MHz
UHF band was designed and fabricated. The essential
elements of transceiver such as CFL ASIC, Tx/Rx PLL
modules are also designed and fabricated. Using CFL ASIC,
more than 20dB of IMD improvement was acquired. To
accept the two mode of TETRA(TMO & DMO), two
independent PLL modules were used. The output power of
transmitter was 0.5W, the specification of EVM and ACP was
satisfied with TETRA standard and the dynamic range of
    receiver was more than 60dB.

TETRA TECHNOLOGY: A MODERN PRIVATE CELLULAR SYSTEM

In order to meet the demand for more efficient and
flexible communication services from both PMR and
PAMR users, ETSI has developed a new standard for
digital trunked radio system named TETRA. In this
review-based paper we have discussed about the basic
services provided by TETRA system and its network
architecture along with the description of basic modes on
    which this technology works

TETRA Outdoor Large- Scale Received Signal
Prediction Model in Riyadh City-Saudi Arabia

Abstract -TETRA outdoor large scale received signal
prediction model is presented here. The model follows logdistance
model. It is derived based on received signal strength
survey measurements of a TETRA system, operating in the
300-400 MHz band, in Riyadh City, Saudi Arabia. This model
is aimed to assist practicing engineers in the estimation of
received power, or electric field strength as well as path-loss at
any given distance from the base station or vice versa. The
value of the model exponent (n) for the selected routes is found
to be 3 ± 0.7. However, the overall value of n for urban area in
the Riyadh City is found to be 3.22. It is noted that the value of
n obtained here is low, compared to values obtained in several
European cities, as the streets are wider and the buildings are
lower in most part of the routes in Riyadh.

Multiuser Channel Estimation for Detection for Cochannel Signals
in the Receiver ofTETRA Digital trunked System

Abstract In this paper, a pilot-based MMSE
technique is proposed for estimating the channel impulse
responses of multiple co-channel users in the Receiver of
TETRA Digital trunked System. Based on signal and
channel models of TETRA Digital trunked System, it which
allows time variation of the channels with and between
the training sequences. The performance of this method is
    verified by simulations.

Evolving Public Safety Communication Systems by Integrating WLAN and TETRA Networks
    ABSTRACT
This article contributes to the evolution of
public safety communication systems by specifying
a novel solution for integrating WLAN and
    Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) networks.
The specified solution allows TETRA terminals
to interface to the TETRA Switching and Management
    Infrastructure (SwMI) over a broadband
WLAN radio access network, instead of
the conventional narrowband TETRA radio network.
    These terminals are fully interoperable
with conventional TETRA terminals and can
employ all TETRA services, including group
calls, short data messaging, packet data, and so
forth. In addition, however, such terminals can
support a range of brand new capabilities
enabled by the WLAN, such as broadband data
services, true concurrent voice and data services,
simultaneous reception of many group calls,
reduced call setup and voice transmission delays,
improved voice quality, and so forth. The specified
solution is solely based on IP multicast and
Voice-over-IP (VoIP) technologies and thus fits
ideally to the all-IP architecture being introduced
by the MESA project for the next generation
of public safety and disaster relief
    communication systems.

    Hi,

Very good and useful documents, why not compile them all together in one compressed folder?
Or perhaps this way there will be more points to collect
