3G Drop Call : Destination Out of Service
Dear experts,
I'm a newbie, and i'm facing this problem. We found drop call in 2G, drop type : no service. Drop occure when it handovers from PG8075 GSM to PG27862 DCS.Does anyone have experience like this ? What is really the cause ?

We also found drop call in 3G : Destination Out of Service, in that area. Is it possible there is corellation between this call drop with call drop in 2G ? Perhaps mobile terminate served by 2G and it is no service.

I also experienced that problem on 3G mostly during inter RAT HO between 2G and 3G.
It was solved by disabling the 2G-3G handover feature and now the call drop rate on 3G reduced

HO GSM to DCS:
I'm new on this forum so can't see the pictures.
If DCS is a capacity layer, so level should be sufficient - in this case:
- check if some new DCS cell was switched on (or existing was changed) with the same BCCH and BSIC,
- check if all TRXs of target cell are OK.

Re: 3G Drop Call : Destination Out of Service
Hi I think following could be reason for your drop call.
1) Core definition issue, need to trace call by call. 3G core allows to transfer call to 2G core but unable to get allocation in 2G THEN reversion is failing. It results in drop, most probably this is your case.
2) CORE configuration issue, Possibility is there that few MS type chiphering is not supported. need to check via IMSI tracing.
