SDCCH CONGESTION

I have some cells that used to perform well but all of a sudden started having 100% SDCCH congestion, on checking i realized that the SDCCH requests were due to SDCCH HO while there was none due to originating call or normal assignment.

After deactivating SDCCH HO, i realized that the problem seems to be with the BTS or BSC because from counters i can see channel requests and also channel required sent by the BTS but no response from the BSC.

Please guys what could be the likely reason for not being able to setup SDCCH on a cell?

When you said channel request, than do you see most of the time IAR(immediate assignment reject)..
Is the AGCH requirements are defined correctly?

You cannot get an IAR without first doing a channel request...I'm not able to setup calls on this site

Anybody know what would be the effect of the following components and KPIs that will be impacted?
1) SUMA board
2) TCUC
3) Combinner
4) CPRAC

You may add any other MSC, BSC or BTS component that affects KPIs

Re-dimensioning of Channels will solve the problem.
