Default RRC Failure in E/// RNC Module

One of the E/// RNC is migrated to new MSC in Pool. We have high RRC failure in 2 RNC Modules. RRC Success is < 70% during peak hours
I have checked it in Moshell using pmr command. What could be the reason?

What steps are needed to troubleshoot???

    Hi Mate,

You may check detail what cause RRC success degraded.
If in RNC module, I assume you may check the MP load. And look for may be the cells that highly contributing to that degraded.
And check the resources on that cells.

    Hope useful.

Waiting more info on problem. Please share...

As Jamal mentioned i want to add more comment:

In your case since it is happening in RNC peak hour just check number of simultaneous user license in RNC by "invh" connamd in RNC and try to increase the license for number of user and observe. If it was because of that try to shift more user to 2G and temporarily .

    hi,
which type of RNC and SW version you are using in RNC?
Do all cells are affected or some specific cells are affected ?
Do you use load control and Mps as pool ?
Do you use "RRC load control" feature in your RNC ?

So it can happen because of MP load but if MP are configured as pool the RC rejection can happen due to high load and RRC attempts due to RCC load Control feature in RNC
It can happen due to hardware issue as well SO you can check it by moving those sites connected to that RNC module to other RNC modules

    Cheers

    Adding babak comment:

Yes, in E// RNC the resources system create in pool method (in theory, even since P6,CMIIW)
But, unfortunately sometimes the pool resources doesn't work well. Still you have to manually balance the cells (Iub) connected to corresponding RNC Module.
You can check using moshell command "lkr".

Hope help. Waiting other experts for comment.

    Hi Jamal,
There is mechanism to do load control. It is correct you assign nodeBs to an RNC module but it is initial stage it means depending load.. the load control mechanism may direct the a call t other GPB board but ut will be done under a condition... the load of target GPB must be 10% less than the initial GPB board. Th idea is to avoid unnecessary redirection and causing more inter-connection load.
unfortunately Ankiyani hasn't answered the questions...

    cheers
