    Default RBS 6000 Power Value

    Hi Friends,

Can you please let me know what we can set maximum value for BSPWRB,BSPWRT for RBS6000 series for 900Mhz and 1800Mhz ?

In default case i saw we can not set more than 42 but in a special configure on MCTR Object we can set same as RBS2000 series (45dB for 1800Mhz and 47dB for 900Mhz). So the main question is for a 4+4+4 configuration based on RUs we can not set more than 42dB but how RBS can transmit 45 or 47 with MCTR configuration ?!

    Thanks

As I know, we can reach 43 dBm by using IPM (Intelligent power management) technic, without this the max reached power is around 41.7 dBm with 4 RUS.

Hope that can helping you .

    Have a fun

    Im use this
    RBS Type
    BSPWRB BSPWRT BSPWR
    6102 42 42 45
    6601 42 42 45
    6201 42 42 45
Power more than 20W per TRX is licensed option we use 3x20 config by default

In attached document you can find needed information. I already tested 900RUS at configuration 1TRX / 48dBm and it works great !

Thanks i read this document already. But my doubt is as per RBS6000 specification it can not propagate more than 43dB but how we are setting BSPWRB,T to 47dB by 4TRX?

as im can understand in one RRU have MAX out Power is 60W and can support maximum 4 TRX, i.e.: 1. 1x60W 2. 2x30W 3. 3x20W (deafult ?) 4. 4x15W

Lightbulb Re: RBS 6000 Power Value

For example if you want one X-pol antenna and 4 TRX per sector (in one band), maximum power of 45dBm/30W per TRX can be reach with two RUS per sector and two TRX per RUS. If you use one RUS per sector - maximum power in case of 4 TRX is 42dBm/15W .

I've test configuration of 2 TRX per sector with two RUS and set it to max power of 48dBm. It works smoothly and it is comparatively cheaper method to improve coverage. It also works good in multi-band cell configurations (2RUS -> 2TRX 900 and one RUS ->2TRX1800).

Note that if you use RUG(Max2TRX) instead RUS(Max4TRX), in configuration of 4 TRX per sector , two RUG's are necessary and maximum power per TRX can be 42dBm/22W because of Hybrid Combining. 47dBm are possible in case 2TRX(one RUG) per sector or in case of 4TRX(Two RUG's) in sector with two x-pol antennas(4TX branches).

Thanks for your answer but i have different observation i have several site with 4 TRX configuration in each sector and 1 RUS per 4 TRX in each sector for 900Mhz we set power to 47dB and for 1800 to 45dB and it is working stable in htis case TXMPWR changed to Manual and MAXPWR to 48 dB and then PWRB,PWRT to 47 for 900Mhz and 45 for 1800Mhz. How it gonna be ? What is logic behind ?

    Thanks

Did you measured actual power with power meter ?
I think that configuration can work with your settings, but real power is lower. Also all algorithms related with BSPxxx will not work properly !

    A quote of ALEX:
    BSPWRT
    Type: Numeral
    Range: 0 to 63
    Unit: dBm
    Default: -
    Command: RLCPC, RLCPP
O&M: In some cases it is possible to set this parameter to a non valid value (as described in the comment below). Then, the activation of the channel group might not be able to perform correctly.
Comments: Base Station output power in dBm for the non-BCCH RF channel numbers.
For RBS 6000 DUG/RUS, GSM 800/900/1800/1900, the following is valid in backward compatible mode Abis O&M version G12R12(both odd and even values):
Maximum power per MCPA Number of TRXs in one MCPA:
    1 2 3 4
    48 dBm 36 to 48 dBm 33 to 45 dBm 31 to 43 dBm 30 to 42 dBm
    46 dBm - 31 to 43 dBm - -
    43 dBm 31 to 43 dBm - - -
For RBS 6000 DUG/RUS, the following is valid for Abis O&M version G12R13:
GSM 800/900/1800/1900: 30 to 48dBm, odd and even values
    Best Regards !
