Pathloss 5 first Installation

Dear Forum friends,

I need to install Pathloss 5 first time on my computer...
1)which link shall i use for the PL5 installer?
2)which link can i use for its lic**** file?
3)what are main steps shall i follow?

There are many threads in the forum ,but I cannot get complete info which can help me to install PL5 from scratch on my Win XP computer ...

Dear Ahmedtaha,

I Installed the Pathloss 5 from "pl5_setup.exe"
and I put four MED files in folders as follows
C:\Program Files\Pathloss 5\geo_data "p5g_supl.bin"
C:\Program Files\Pathloss 5 "pl5_util.dll"
C:\Program Files\Pathloss 5 "pl50.exe"
C:\Program Files\Pathloss 5 "pl50l.exe"

However I am having the error as attached "pl50l.exe-Entry Point Not Found.JPG" when I click the "pl50l.exe"

Please let me know where I am doing the wrong step?

I think it has relation with your OS and this version of PL5 ,same thing happened to me before .
So I recommend to install PL5 version 2009 and after that you can update and here is the steps:


1.install PL5 2009(complete version)
2. Overwrite p5g_supl.bin file in folder C:\Program Files\Pathloss 5\geo_data.
3. Run pl50.exe.
4. Initialize program.
5. You select Telephone in method ot initialize the program
6. Enter any Authorization code.


update:
1. Install and initialize original version.
pathloss 5 complete.rar - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download
2. Uninitialize original version.
3. Re-Initialize with new seial number and activation code.
Serial number: BL50-3G3YE5H-345GHY6-5634
Activatation Code: ERBVV-34721-605F
4. Copy p5g_supl.bin in C:\Program Files\Pathloss 5\geo_data to another to use later.
5. Uninstall original PL50
6. Install PL50 version April 20, 2011.
7. Copy above p5g_supl.bin and overwrite to C:\Program Files\Pathloss 5\geo_data.
8. Copy file mitab.dll from mitab.dll and overwrite to C:\Program Files\Pathloss 5.

Thanks for the detailed steps , as I have successfully Installed the first step for PL5 2009(complete version) on my WinXP .

Now I have to search for April 20, 2011 Installer ,p5g_supl.bin and mitab.dll, do u have any Idea where can i find them?

Hi;
Here is mitab.dll.
About P5g_supl as described in update steps (point 4) you have to cope those of PL5 complete version for reuse after PL5 April installation.
This version you will find it here in Transmission planning specially in Thang271’s thread.

I dont know ,but for vista you can install newer version than this one with no need to this steps ,for example june version.
