Default Sector Capacity VS Peak throughput

    Hi all,

I have a question..can sector capacity( In DL or UL) ..cross the peak throughpt ..if yes then by how much...

give some explanation also.....looking fr ur comments

Max throughput cannot go above max cell throughput if you are looking the rates at the same OSI level (e.g. phy, dll etc...). It is the case that sometimes you get throughput on e.g. IP level, without overheads and when you check the phy layer you can see bigger number. You have quite specific conditions to achieve theoretical max throughput for any technology so you will have much often situation where your cell/sector throughput is saturated and users will not even be close to max throughput per user...

    In GSM or WCDMA
depends on a lot of factor
In GSM TS usage ,Modulation Scheme,Channel Quality & network parameter setting limit Sector Peak throughput

    But simply
1 Site (=3 Sectors) is connected to 1 E1 over Abis Link (TDMA)
    then
Maximum Peak throughput (Physical Layer) per site = 2 Mbps
Maximum Peak throughput (Physical Layer) per sector = 2/3 Mbps = 666.67 kbps (consider equal configure)
Maximum Peak throughput (Application Layer) per sector = 384 kbps

    Hope this will help
