Converse MML data to simple form

Hi all
- We often telnet to get data from Nokia Siemen OSS.
But process is hard and output data is very complex. I want to share one tool that help us simplify output data.

==> You should use Tang software to telnet to get data from OSS
==> You can use my tool "Filter data tool" to simplify data.

Plz giving more opinion to increase public knowledge. And, if you have some questions for this thread, you can contact me to detail.



p/s: guide to use Tang software.

1. SETUP (You have to setup foer Tang before use)

• You click: setup

• You have to fill: BSC_name

IP Address for BSC
Usename
Password
(see attach image)

• You click Add to add new BSC.

(and change if you change parameter)
èRepeate for more BSC.

2. USING Click BSC that you want to login
Type MML as you telnet.

- is the log file the print out of all mml commands like EEI, AHO... or should i use the nokia database .xml?
- could you explain more because for my mind i think i have to browse the log file or database and then click to start for ex. then all result will be on the excel file (AHO, AHP, EOL...)

1. Yes.The log file is the print out of all mml commands like EEI, AHO

2. You use TANG software to export data from OSS (because you had connected to BSC by IP adress); The result is text form. The text form is complex, so, you need Filter data tool to transform to simple excell.

I have got the same error as alb_elezi.
Did you find any solutions? Please share.

Also attached is another version for NOKIA for ZEOL and ZEOH log commands taken from TANG.

use TAN 4-19, it comes with alarm macro button which out puts active alarms and alarm history in excel format plus a few other useful bits and pieces.
