Number of TRX per MSC

Hi all,

I need to re conduct MSC rehoming for all sites on my network. As I'm a freshner with e******* equipement any should help me how to do it. I mean:
- What is the restriction that need to be taken into account for the capacity and if there is any restriction.

Hi,

I am not exactly sure about MSC, but i remember per BSC its about 2048 TRX. Note that this is not the physical TRX count present either at site or cell level, but the MO definitions. The BSC s/w was G10B.

that should be different MSC to MSC configs (max, medium,...) and vendor to vendors.

To know the MAX TRX per MSC you should read the related specification, accordingly you can know how many BSC with 1024 TRX or 2048 TRX can be connected to the MSC.

1- TRX is assosiated with BSC.
2- You must review the product package descrption acording to your BSC.
3- The capacity of TRX depends of the hardware installed in the BSC (RPG3 or GARP) deopending of the kind of BSC...
1 RPG3 = 32 TRX
1 GARP = 256 TRX
