Question to all: What are the best CDMA2000 Test Phones?

As i know. Kyocera for CDMA is usable as it is for drive test with Agilent & Invex kits.
Unlike GSM phones like Nokia which uses Netmon, CDMA phones don;t use any special sw on phone.. However ur drive test sw must support teh phone. Chk the supported devices list for teh same.
I tried Samsung Z560 with E6474 v11.x & with Invex3G. It workd well but doesn't colelct all parameters.. Also there is some issue of Samsung handset with Invex3G kits as the battery gets overcharged & hence bulging happens - damaging the battery.. My exp with Invex support team was dismal & I won't recommened anyone to buy Invex3G kits..

thanks man... but I meant that I need to do Data Service drive test (PS Seervice) with Kyocera 2325... but I dont know how to define its modem, I dont have the driver for that... if you have, plesae help me...

for Kyocera 2325 and other old phone - need Dual Port Adapter,
for DATA and DIAG in one time.

so, one COM port for Agilent, Nemo or QXDM, other COM port for PPP/FAX/DATA call.

for driver you can use windows Standart 19200 modem, and change speed to 115.2.

but is shit, MSM5500 and later nas two or more COM port inside one USB cable.

so, use novatel u720 or u727 and fun.

I have a Kyocera 2035 that I made the serial cable with peeling off the label of the back of the phone and solder the 3 wires onto the 20 pin pads. (I could not find a 'data cable' anywhere because the phone was obsolete) Is it possible to do what you are saying here with that phone too? or are they too different? What is a Dual Port Adapter?

Drive testing is part of optimizing and analyzing of radio network.

Drive testing is performed to collect the data of any radio network.

it is done using User equipments like scanner,mobile,aircard and other terminals.

i would suggest the best phone for present generation technologies used in drive testing is Samsung SGH a737.

the can handle both the Umts packet and data calls .

1) EVDO rev.A, (rev.0 and 1x also supported and working ;-)
2) usb, dual port for diagnostic ans data call at one time,
3) gps inside,
4) you can write drivetest to SD card, inside phone ;-)
5) also i buy it for 50$ at ebay (just need unlock)

Have you/anyone done #4?
Also #3 is disabled for some, and don't know how to unlock it.

The only test that is done is the OTA scan of the public airwave. otherwise its boring to scan your "own" connection.

i already tested with QXDM 2.08
but you need to install QPST
