from hand over event no attempt it means missing neighbours.
or run report from TEMS investigation 8.0 to find out
missing neighbours from parameters Bsic BCCH.

You need compare rx level idle and active with strong scanned rx level on the map in MapInfo.

Hi Hussen thanks for prompt reply.

The thing is I have handover failure events from MS, so when i go into L3 message i see Handover Command from BSC, after MS tunes to new frequency and TS which was commanded from BSC, but after that i get handover failure and I get this message very often, in my understanding after Handover Command new cell resources are arranged but why i do receive this error message can't udestand? please if you can advise me is it missing neighbour issue?

    thanks in advance

HO failure include (reversion and lost).
Try to find a good neighbour for this cell.
for HO failure no relation with missing neighbour ,but there are 2 relations with
same Bsic and Bcch wich cause failure ,make Bsic tune to ovoid this kind of
    problem.
    good luck !

    Default re missing neighbours.

    -you can export logfile : menu logfile\export logfile\text file\
after select tab menu information elements : select parameter GSM or CDMA.
-select tab option : select mode report detail.
    - after insert logfile : input logfile
-when export finish ,you open with this loglife by excell, select event missing neigbour.

    Cool

    Dear Kalvera,

As i understand you have alot of HO Failure; which means you have one of the following problems:

    1- Co-BSIC + Co-BCCH which is a common probelm !!
2- you have congestion on your target cell(s)
    3- wrong HO parameters
4- or you don't set a good neighbor list for your cell(s)

also i sugget you to study your vendor's HO decision algorithm

    Thanks guys really very much!

It's my first time on GSM analysis so I'm little bit confused not to make any mistake.

If anyone has good manual for post processing of GSM log files would be great.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Kalvera,

-You can running RA TI 8, open your logfiles, after that you can see report error.
-Running Data collection TI 8, open your logfiles, replay, then see GSM Serving+Neighbors tab, compare Rx Lev between serving cell and neighbor. If neighbor's Rx Lev better than serving cell, HO should be done, if no, maybe neighbor not created yet, check in the parameter data.
-As alibusheri said, maybe the target cell is congestion, check capacity TCH and TCH availabelity in the statistic data.
-Check in mapinfo, BCCH and BSIC between serving cell and target cell, maybe Co-BCCH and Co-BSIC

    Hope it can help you.
