    Default About DRD and Fast Dormancy

    Hi All,

    a bit confusing about DRD and Fast Dormancy in Huawei :
    1. If we activate DRD based on Service differ and Load (user num), simultaneously.
    If we have 2 carrier, F1- prio 1 for R99, Prio 3 for HS, for F2 - Prio 0 for R99, Prio 1 for HS, What will be happen ?
    R99 service makes call on F1 will always stays in F1, R99 service makes call in F2 will be drd ed to F1, am i right ?
    For HS, will it always stays on F2 ? or may be F2 HS traffic more than F1 ?

    2. About Fast Dormancy, If i disable the HS RRC state switch but i enable the Fast dormancy, will the Fast dormancy Ue will move to PCH after SCRI ?

    Thanks

    br

    Hi There;
    1.Fast dormancy is triggered based on user in activity, for both direction up and down swicth.
    please also remember that UE implementation is another factor as well.
    so to answer your 1st question, to me FD has nothing to do with IFHO handover between carrier.

    2. what is SCRI? :-)... Ue move to PCH from FACH state or from Idle....

    Hi my friend,

    both questions are independent each other.
    SCRI is signalling connection release indicator, which trigger the UE fast dormancy after inactivity. If the network control fast dormancy is enabled (RNC side) so this UE enabled fast dormancy will move to cell PCH instead of idle then my question is--- if the Cell PCH is disabled on the RNC side, does this Fast dormancy will work properly ?
