Default DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) Planning Guidelines

I've put this under TETRA as it is the closest topic to DMR.

Does anyone have any real live experience with DMR planning and some guidelines on suitable signal strength levels to be designing to (relative to the propagation model and availability settings)?

For TETRA we have Static and Dynamic signal target levels for mobile terminal coverage predictions, do we need to make the same allowances for DMR? DMR mobile terminal specs do not state separate Static and Dynamic receiver sensitivities.

DMR has a more robust error correction than TETRA and a different symbol rate, so is it less susceptable to dynamic fading effects?

Be interested in anyones thoughts on this.

    Thanks, Stan.

Hi Stan, you might also want to revisit this. I had posted this a while ago on Huawei DMC priniciples. Might help you.

Hi T_ADD, thanks for the link and good document. I am refering to DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) as in Land Mobile Radio, not digital microwave links/backhaul but thanks for your effort anyway. See here for info on DMR http://dmrassociation.org/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_mobile_radio http://www.etsi.org/website/Technolo...bileRadio.aspx

    Best Regards, Stan.
