detecting a missing neighbour problem in UMTS
Hi Huawei experts,
have any idea how to detect a missing neighbour declaration in UMTS network (RAN 12) ??
thank you

Re: detecting a missing neighbour problem in UMTS
check with GENEX NASTAR, every single statistic on there

I believe in RAN12 there is not something different/enhancement in comparison with older ones. In nastar there is Missing Neighbours section and you may use it as recommendation only which two neighbour relations can be defined. Nastar is only one approach, from drive test and etc.... Global RNC switches must be activated in all the ways regarding to detected set findings. Search the forum there was similar threat already opened with more explanations .....
all the best

Re: detecting a missing neighbour problem in UMTS
yes, i mean for dBase (missing adj, one way, etc) can be solved by NASTAR, anotherthing like overshooting, neighbour need, etc it's must using DT tools (GENEX Probe and Analys)

Re: detecting a missing neighbour problem in UMTS
You can do it with Nastar, or Schema Mentor. Nastar is more local, neighbor relation at a time, while Schema is more global, the entire RNC in one shot can be optimized with drill down capabilities to neighbor relations.
another way is in the m2000 you can activate the MNCDT trace which is a missing neighbor trace.

Re: detecting a missing neighbour problem in UMTS
It depends on the source of the information you are using, if it is from drive test dropped calls can give you a good hint that there is a high possibility of missing neighbors, from the RNC you can use any of the tools mentioned before to check data consistency.
