TRXs Down-Grade

Could kindly share your experience in doing down-grade?
How we could define cells need down-grade?
How we could calculate the un-needed number of TRXs per cell?

Get the traffic during the peak hour and calculate (from erlang table) how many channels is used (utilization). This way you can make simple analysis. Make sure that there are no HW issues on any neighboring sites also.

Suppose Traffic at busy hour is 7 Erlang
and blocking rate 0.2
so based on Erlang B Table - No. of Channel utilization is 8

and I've 3 TRXs defined for this cell..

- what should be next step?

Try To help,

We can see the right "utilization" for cell in BH - Busy Hour Condition , so if the blocking 0.2 % , maybe not too big enough

Better to check and review Half rate management , maximize half rate feature

and then wait the result if Half rate already activated and Blocking have 0 %

maybe you can downgrade
