Handover GSM E/// to GSM Huawei??

Hi Everybody.

In Tigo Guatemela we're going to try the Huawei Single Ran (2G and 3G going in the same antenna, using both tecnologies of Huawei). Right now we Have 2G E******* and 3G Huawei.

I need to know if you can help telling me how to define de Neighborhood from 2G E******* to 2G Huawei so it works. We already know from huawei to E******* but not in the other way.

If you have any documents of it or your expierence and you can share it I will appreciate it a lot.

you have to define as external cell rlnri command chaeck Alex for full command description
it should be in both side E// and Haw
for external cell you have to define first cell
rldei command then rlnri to define as neighbour

What we must configurte in RNC (if the HO is in 3G) with Iur?
IUR is used?

there has to be defined an IuR inter-vendor.
usually it is not defined, since the implementation cost and economical return is not accepted by the operator.
afterwards, also a msc configuration has to done as well.

If your Single RAN and your 2G E/// are in different MSCs you have to define the Inter RAT on both MSCs. Here is the definition in E///. I am a Core Engineer so this is what I can give you.

MGORI:RNC=(RNC NAME),RNCID=(MCC-MNC-RNC ID),MSC=(MSC Name); !!!ALLOW GSM-UMTS vice versa HO!!!

MGOCI:CELL=(Site Code of RNC LAI),LAI=(RNC LAI),MSC=(MSC Name); !!!DEFINE NEIGHBOURING LAI!!! - Can also be defined on CGI/SAI level. Just provide site code.
