Purpose of the document
The purpose of this document is to provide a reference guideline to define
and describe WCDMA RNC KPI up to WRAN P7.1 release. Delta information
concerning new/removed/changed counters from P5 to P6 and P6 to P7 is
included in this document into Note or KPI Description text fields.
For every KPI, the following information is reported:
• Scope, Granularity, Time Resolution;
• Counters MO Class and Type;
• Metric of the formula;
• Description of the meaning of the formula;
• Description of the counters involved in the formula and triggering events;
• Eventual note about specific KPI inconsistency or applicability
limitation.
Consequently, the document means to be a global reference for Service
Delivery Information for WRAN Performance Optimization services including
Successful Feature Introduction, Network Performance Improvement and
Network Audit projects as well as for providing strategic advice services on
WCDMA P7 release.
All KPIS have been categorized according to a level of importance: High,
Medium and Low, with the following meaning:
• High: in this area all the main KPIS, used for daily monitoring and for
network benchmark can be found;
• Medium: with this level of importance all the formulas, for fine and
specific feature monitoring scope, have been tagged;
• Low: in this section all the Performance Indicators, mainly used for
investigation and troubleshooting puropose, are displayed.
