JOB:Sr. RF Planning and Optimization Engineer, Afghanistan

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Should be skilled using OPTIMI Wizard and TCP for Planning
* Network Design and Re-design depending on the traffic pattern.
* Assist in Planning of the major cities in Afghanistan for a HCS network
* Make sure the concerned regional KPI are managed to keep within the target value.
* Need and adjust the parameters of the air and A interface to improve the KPI of the network.
* New site planning , interference checking, verifying LAC/BSIC/HSN and frequency plan.
* Assist to set the KPI target on quarterly and monthly basis.
* Creating traffic Maps
* Escalating them according to Marketing Outputs
* Network Design & Capacity Planning – Network design activities involved
o Field & Technical Surveys.
o Link budget analysis & air interface dimensioning.
o Coverage and capacity planning.
o LAC dimensioning.
o RF planning related work & RF network design.
o Frequency, BSIC, HSN, MAIO Planning.
o Pre launch planning and optimization activities.
o GPRS/EDGE dimensioning in the network.

* Network Optimisation & Performance
* Detailed Analysis and Optimization of existing & planned 2G/2.5G sites for Drive Test Analysis & KPIs.
o Live 2G site performance verification activity using Actix and TEMS Post processing tool to validate the coverage as the designed, rigging errors & performance issues.
o Investigate problematic site in correlations between drive test data, statistics, counters, alarms and take corrective actions.
o 2G/2.5G Optimisation; Frequency re-tuning, 2G drive data analysis, Co Channel & Adj Channel Interference Identification, Neighbour analysis.
o Reporting the performance and progress of optimised areas.
o Working together with the Optimisation team for the initial Neighbour list, Frequency plan and the network databases
o Analysing Drive Test data to evaluate RF related issues in Setup failures, Call Drops, Handover Failures, suggesting missing Neighbour Antenna Changes, down tilt, Reorientation, Neighbour modifications etc.
o Drive test for GPRS/EDGE performance and analysis log file.
o Creating reports & templates while post processing Log files.
o Collecting and analysing Network KPI’s for GSM/GPRS/EDGE.
o Recommending changes to the Network Parameters to improve Network Performance.
o Comparing Network Performance before and after Optimisation activities.
o Optimize network features (Multiband cell, Overlaid-Underlaid, HCS, SCTP, Dynamic BTS & MS Power control, IHO, ACLC, CLS, DHA, DYMA, SCLD, Basic Locating etc.).
o BTS/BSC Re-homing activity. Performance analysis and final report after re-homing.
o Designing and Optimization activity for Transcoder Pool.

* Network Audit & Benchmarking
o End to end RF Audit
o Physical site audit
o Optimization parameter and setting analysis
o Frequency Plan review
o Performance Statistics analysis
o Providing recommendations for the client’s issues.

* Traffic dimensioning
o Creating traffic Maps
o Escalating them according to Marketing Outputs
