    Dear Master,

    I have problem when drivetest in factory area, where buildings using metal roof.
    the RF performance in this area worst than other area.

    whether the metal roof resulted in decreased RF Performance?
    give me the scientific reason of this?

    Metals attenuate RF in a big way. Therefore it is not surprising that the metal roof attenuates the signal. Even within the lifts, we experience this.

    Be also aware of installing antenna above (or facing at) big metal surfaces or structures. At the 1st case the uneeded uptilt can be made due to the combination of main and reflected beams, at the 2nd unpredicted antenna pattern deforming is expected...

    I've had experience with attenuation inside metal containers and production halls of up to 30 dB.
