Downgrade SW on the MSS1

how i can downgrade the MPR9500 on the MSS1?

MPT Radio 9500 Automatically Upgrades to the MSS OSE Shell Version when Boot up. Only way to downgrade the Flash card in MSS or the one in the Radio itself.

Could you explain it in broader manner.
