HI Forum,
actual I ve a ******** MTP 850 S on my table - with the newest CPS 7. depot software Ive try to read the radio.
Used is a programming cable with usb. After connection with the usb programming cable and pressing 1+9+power - the radio don´t answer...
The radio is ok - power on, the radio works... Power on + connection to usb, radio says "usb connected" ... ok
what´s the problem ... trying another cps?

What fw?
Never use depot unless you must.
I use virtualbox with two virtual win7 installations. One for cps and the other for depot. You will need the extension pack too.
When you get it to work, read and save the codeplug to a secure place. It contains tuning values abslutely essential for the functioning of the device.
Do not, I repeat, do not use erase memory!
Upgrade firmware in small steps. Purchase options survive through upgrades, modifications to dmo tx do not.
What cable are you using?
Usb cable is 05335B - 0403532 and the fw is 8624 ( 13.000.8624 MR 5.14.10).
courious is the usb works with an other mtp 850s perfect. When you connect the Radio with usb to the Computer- and only turn on the Radio- nothing Happens... No Signal from the Computer that an usb device is found ...
where is the Problem? An internal lock of the Keyboard from the Radio???

Many thanks Gabor! I will try! But first Ive to check, why the mtp is not register via usb programming cable to my computer ...
so it means - there is no connection ... :(
