Re: LTE Throughput Improvement - High Order Modulation (dl 256qam)
Good afternoon!
In your case, the speed was 145 Mbps, for the downlink, with 256 QAM modulation order and 20 MHz bandwidth?
1. What is the measured speed for you for the downlink, with 64 QAM and 16 QAM?
Best regards!

Hi,
I verified a speed limitation in my APN. 256QAM @ 20MHz got peak of 195Mbps and 180Mbps very easy...

Great, friend please how did you check APN setting

APN setting is a profile of MSISDN that store/set in Core Network
The best way, u ask CORE team (SGSN Profile) to check Profile
the other way check via Nemo Analyze or TEMS
or using Application that mentioned previous page

Good afternoon!
The speed of your downlink connection is good. There is a resource: https://www.cellmapper.net/4G-speed. The data on the resource and you have the same.
For a speed of 195 Mbps in the downlink to the bottom, with Downlink Modulation 256 QAM there should be ideal radio conditions. At what distance from the base station measurements were taken?
Best regards!

Hi,
To check the APN setting I have a user in MME (just run gsh get_subscriber -msisdn 1xxxxxxxxxx -dl 2). Also you should now I have a lab with a BBU3910 (UMPT with Tx GE and UBBPe4) and a few RRUs of different bands to do the tests.
195Mbps is not the most common, but I still get 180Mbps without effort.
Guess I'm lucky my employer trust me :)

Good afternoon!
The question was: at what distance from the base station (RRU) was the speed tested?
Best regards

Good day!
LTE Three Sector Base Station is assembled in the configuration:
1. Universal Main Processing & Transmission unit with 4E1 and 2FE / GE interface UMPTb2;
2. Universal Baseband Processing Unit d5 (UBBPd5);
3. RRU3268 for LTE 800M (2 * 40W).
15 MHz band, 64 QAM modulation. There are no restrictions on transport, there are no restrictions on a SIM card profile.
I tested one Apple iPhone 7 sector at a distance of 150 meters, in the morning with low traffic.
The maximum speed is not higher than 70 Mbps.
Best regards.
