Re: new rules - becoming a senior member and putting password
@tyberry, from my understanding :D
the moderator means that from now on only antidotes (activation means) of software that are more relevant to telecommunications (i.e. this forum's main theme n interest) is required to be password-protected, other than this (non-drug related stuff) MUST be unlocked,i.e. files with no password.
obviously, the moderators are trying to highlight boldly (drawing attentions prolly) the significance of (telecom-software-activation-means). this is MOSTLY to maintain this forum services and deny access to (ineligible members). taking into account that now googling "almost" any awesome materials related to telecom and u'll find it right embedded in this forum "ONLY n exclusively" but not other lousy forums. Hence, this forum encounters too many evil people who wish to "Obliterate" this forum's continuity of goals. (treasure have to be protected) ;)
in short;
- password-protect ONLY (activation means) of telecom-software...and unveil other stuff. compressing them is enough! (protect unique stuff ONLY)
hope this tells what our moderators meant;)
p.s. these days a lot of health+hospital stuff are being used:D and yet being crossed (blocked):lol
just to clarify: patient== (software in question).........AND......drug (activation means for that software)

here's an example:
assume that u want to upload a file (using attachment button) to this forum
- 1st this file has to be telecom-related file
- 2nd this file is preferably compressed one using WinRAR tool, for instance,
- 3rd file-to-be uploaded MUST be password-protected (when compressing them) if and ONLY if that file is an activation file for a telecom software. other than this, must be either compressed or uncompressed BUT with no password:confused:
- last but not least ..send moderators my regards:D
please tell me u get my point:funk:
Re: new rules - becoming a senior member and putting password
I don't see any reason why I shouldn't password protect any document I share?!
And the reason is also simple. For example, most of the documents I share via 4shared. Now, among other things, 4shared enables it's paying customers to search files which are uploaded to their service, even indexing contents of files, if they're readable like PDF or something else.
Then again, everything I shared so far I usually shared outside this forum, that is, I haven't uploaded attachments to the forum, rather just gave people download links. Don't like this exclusivity, particularly cause many senior members got their "rank" by asking for reputation, or posting tons of idiotic messages like "thank you" or "nice share".
I hope these rules apply only for stuff uploaded to this forum directly, not for sharing via DL links.
Re: new rules - becoming a senior member and putting password
first : rules is created by moderator
second : as a member we must follow anything that moderator ask to prevent this Forums
third : not everybody must be happy with this rules as moderator asked
four : as a member you can give some advises but remember to first point above, this is done by moderator (to be hear or not :D)
five : please make some review with password protected because of most member in here having default password
last but not least all are depend on moderator action :p

1. At least 200 posts
2. At least 200 points of reputation
3. At least 50 days from the registration
II. The putting password to the attached files is now allowed only for the med of forum_based related software and/or med come together with the installer
With any reasons, putting password to the attached files (not med mentioned above) will make the poster:
1. timeline banned
2. member title will be decreased one level
Thank for your support.
